Madz Schola Cantorum

Acknowledging the need for a continuous program of passing on musical theories and practice, and hoping that more young people may be encouraged to undergo a more directed training in choral singing, the Philippine Madrigal Singers established the Madz Schola Cantorum.

The Schola is a laboratory arm of the Madz, gathering carefully selected high school students who would train with Madz Artistic Director and Choirmaster Mark Anthony A. Carpio, together with other well-respected choral practitioners coming from the ranks of the Madz alumni and members. The program gives these young choristers not just to be trained by established artists, but also to perform in festivals and concerts held at the Cultural Center of the Philippines, among others.

Madz Music Studio

Recognizing the value of music in people’s lives, the Philippine Madrigal Singers opened the Madz Music Studio offering programs that cater to various individuals and groups no matter what musical background they may have. The programs are tailored to fit the needs of anyone who comes to avail the lessons offered by the Studio. The lessons – handled by Madz alumni, resident members, and other carefully-selected teachers – may be designed for individual or group learners.
